Hello again! This is Abby, and if you're picturing me 9 months pregnant and thinking surely she has had her baby by now, you are correct! I'm just beginning to emerge from my apartment with my new baby girl, Nicole, in tow and showing our 2 faces on Thursday mornings and Sunday's when we can pull ourselves together. I would be remiss to not give a HUGE thank you to Monica who has been monitoring the blog, providing and preparing all the great posts for the past couple of months while I got a grip on motherhood.
Motherhood. My oh my has it already been a crazy ride. Nicole is 3 months and so fun. I'll admit though, that first month and half I didn't know if I would make it; sleep deprivation is real and rough. But here I am almost on the other side considering I can make it through the day without a nap, but could certainly always use one. However, the love I finally get to experience as a mother has trumped the lack of sleep. I think if I had understood earlier the love my own mother has for me is the same love I have for Nicole I may have been a bit nicer in my younger days. And the circle will continue one day when Nicole has her first baby and will fully understand my love (but hopefully she'll always be nice to me). But more on becoming a mother for another day. I don't want to share all my thoughts and feelings in just one post.
It feels good to be back and If we haven't seen you yet, we can't wait to reconnect and catch up.
We're your Women's Ministry Team at Union Church! We look forward to sharing with you what is on our calendar and what is on our hearts, with a few fun things thrown in between.
