Maundy Thursday
Let us meditate on The Lord's Last Supper and join us on Thursday, April 18
for our Special Service.
The traditional English name for the Thursday preceding Easter was derived from the first words of the Latin ceremony for the washing of feet. The words
in Latin are “mandatum novum,” which means new commandment. They come from the words of our Lord at the Last Supper in John 13:34 “A new commandment I give you: Love one another.” That is a wonderful name for the special day when we take communion together and celebrate the love of our Lord. |
