"...the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective."
James 5:16 (NIV)
James 5:16 (NIV)
As the body of Christ, we lift in prayer our brothers and sisters in Christ. As His sons and daughters, we can approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, and we would like to do that for:
- Please keep Walter Nonemaker in your prayers. He underwent an appendectomy on the night of Saturday, September 7, and was discharged the following Monday evening. However, he was readmitted to the hospital on Tuesday, September 10, due to fever and pain. The doctors are closely monitoring his condition. Pray that he recovers quickly and is able to return home soon. (09/11)
- Pray for Krista Nonemaker as she continues to recover from her ankle surgery in June. She is experiencing pain while walking and is also dealing with significant discomfort due to the need for a hip replacement. Pray for her relief and healing. (09/11)
- Pray for Susan & Rubén Hilario who are undergoing health issues and temporarily in the United States.
- Pray for the quick trip to Guatemala to see family and take care of paperwork. Praise God, their health is much better. Please continue to pray for continued good health and their return to Guatemala next year. (09/06)
- Pray for Francisco Jiatz, Esther Jiatz Wiederhold's brother. He is in hospice care due to pancreatic cancer. (09/8)
- Pray for Patricia García de Figueroa, Daniela Herrera's aunt, who needs to have a tumor removed from her brain, but her surgery will take place at a public hospital and her appointment has been delayed too long. In the meantime, Patricia is having trouble speaking and swallowing. Pray that God will open the space needed at the hospital and that all goes well during the surgery. (08/20)
- Pray for Otto Pérez, Hugo Pérez's brother. Otto had an emergency related with his heart on Tuesday, August 13. His condition is stable, but continues to be monitored. Pray for a complete healing. (08/16)
- Pray for peace for Israel and the Middle East ("Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May those who love you be secure. May there be peace within your walls and security within your citadels.” For the sake of my family and friends, I will say, “Peace be within you.” For the sake of the house of the LORD our God, I will seek your prosperity." Psalms 122:6-9 NIV).
- Continue praying for Guatemala and that God’s will to be done in our country. Continue praying that our political authorities act with integrity to seek the welfare of the people in Guatemala.
- Continue praying for the Lord’s provision for UCG. Pray that God moves people to give generously to support our ministries.

"I love the Lord, for he heard my voice; he heard my cry for mercy. Because he turned his ear to me,
I will call on him as long as I live."

- Praise for Paul & Ruth Philippi's granddaughter LeAnn Gauze. She had her left breast cancer removed successfully on August 31. (09/11)
- Paul Philippi's cataract surgery on Tuesday, September 3 in his right eye, went well. His doctor is very please with the results and although his vision is still a bit cloudy in the right eye, it will improve as the healing progresses. (09/05)
- A big praise item is that Ruben Hilario's residency has been approved! We are most grateful for those who are praying. (07/26)
- We praise our God for His faithfulness to UCG and how He has used its generous family to support the ministry of UCG in our community.
- All UCG's volunteers and members of the different boards; for their commitment to serve God's kingdom through their resources.
